What's On

Without a doubt, the centrepiece of Barton Teddy Festival. Generations of brave bears and their owners have had the time of their lives on our rides. This year, we are bringing back the Barton Belle, up at the Marina, and we have a new ride, The Teddy Express. All aboard!

What better way to spend the long summer days than dreaming up new and exciting scarecrows for the Teddy Festival’s competition? We have four categories to enter, get involved!

Community Stalls

A mixture of charity stalls, fundraising for various hare-brained stunts by our local teenagers, and a display of all of the weird and wonderful hobbies that our fabulous village has to offer.

Red popcorn and cotton candy stall in a sunny park setting with people enjoying a day out.

Eats & Treats

We have a huge array of delicious offerings that we promise won’t break the bank. Candy floss, popcorn, burgers, ice cream, and several excellent local pubs if you’re looking for a (not so quiet) spot to take a break and recharge. Mine’s a pint!

The Trail

New for 2025, we’ve created a Scavenger Hunt to round off your day. You’ll find a map on the website (your first challenge!) and there will be paper copies available at the candyfloss stand for 50p.

Just for Teddies

Teddies are the star of the show at the festival, so we’ve curated a few events just for them.

Teddy bear picnic, teddy sleepover and teddy bear service… couldn’t be cuter!

Step inside the cool calm of the church for a break from the hurly burly. There will probably be music playing, and certainly some lovely displays from some of our local craft groups.

We are extremely well-served around the village, which probably says a lot about our population! Our pubs have got into the spirit this year and all of them are doing something bear-related. From a quick burger to Michelin-level food and drink, you’ll find something to suit you.
