This year, we are raising funds for the Young Ones, Burton on Trent. This wonderful charity delivers emergency and gift boxes for disadvantaged local children to ensure they have dignity and support at times of crisis or isolation.

Barton Teddy Festival was set up back in the nineties as a village festival. While the centrepiece is no doubt our Teddy Bear rides (which are rides for teddies, you read that correctly), we hope we’ve created a village event that everyone can enjoy.

This year’s event is in planning stage!

It may seem like a long way off, but preparations are well underway! The Scarecrow trail is being designed, the local pubs are deciding on their displays, and the Teddy Rides are being primed for action.

We are in full Recruitment Mode for volunteers! We need over 130 shifts covered every year, so if you’re thinking about getting involved, please get in touch.

Every year, over a hundred volunteers give us a couple of hours of their time. When you’ve done it once, you’ll want to come again! To open new rides, and to give our “old hands” the chance to retire, we need more volunteers. Can you help?
