Barton-under-Needwood's
Teddy Festival
30th & 31st August 2025
from 12 noon til 4pm
This year, we are raising funds for the Kids’ Village, which is being built in Wychnor. This will be the UK’s first purpose-built holiday village just for sick children and their families to enjoy.
You can find more info here:
Barton Teddy Festival was set up back in the nineties as a village festival. While the centrepiece is no doubt our Teddy Bear rides (which are rides for teddies, you read that correctly), we hope we’ve created a village event that everyone can enjoy.
This year’s event is in full swing!
At the time of typing, our volunteers are falling back exhausted after a fun-packed first day. Scarecrows are looking fine and hoping for your votes, the scavenger hunts are ready with posters popping up in our shops and pubs, and speaking of pubs, they’ve pulled out all the stops for a weekend of bear-themed yumminess.
And don’t forget the Marina! We have the Barton Belle back in the water, and there’s some scavenger clues to pick up too.
Now we’re hoping for better weather as it’s been a bit on the showery side!
Some pictures from the first day are below, hope you enjoy them, come and see us tomorrow!

Barton Teddy Festival has something for everyone! This year, we’re pulling out all the stops for a fantastic weekend of fun, come sunshine or showers.

Centre of so much of the weekend’s activity, also a lovely spot for a bit of quiet reflection
Card or cash, where to park, toilets, diversions… everything you need to know for a happy day out and about around the Festival.
Every year, over a hundred volunteers give us a couple of hours of their time. We know they love it because they keep coming back! We’re opening more rides, and to do that, we need more volunteers. Can you help?
